KUCHING: The Betong Fire and Rescue Station has organised the Station Head Cup Futsal Competition, fostering a strong bond among its staff members.

The competition, which featured three teams, aimed to enhance camaraderie and loyalty among colleagues while providing a refreshing break from their demanding work.

Vincent Baling Yabi, the station leader, highlighted the significance of leisure activities after exhausting work shifts.

He expressed that the three-cornered competition not only strengthened relationships but also improved the officers’ fitness and uncovered hidden talents among the Betong Station staff.

“In the tightly contested matches, the Bravo team emerged as the champions, clinching the prestigious Betong Fire Chief and Rescue Chief Round Cup for 2023. The runner-up position went to Charlie’s team, while Alfa secured third place in the competition,” he told reporters yesterday.

Vincent expressed his hope that such activities would become routine, further bolstering the team spirit among the Betong Station staff.

The event concluded with Vincent presenting the trophy to the victorious Bravo team, capturing the memorable moment of their triumph.
