BUKIT MABONG: About 87 health clinics in the state now have access to better digital services with the usage of the VSAT High Throughput Satellite (HTS) links.

According to Deputy Digital Minister Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong, the VSAT HTS service allows health clinics located in the interior to carry out daily operations promptly and more effectively.

“The old VSAT technology was an issue faced by health clinic workers in the interior because system access and communication with the Divisional Health Office and the State Health Department (JKNS) were often disrupted by slow internet access,” he said.

“So after being upgraded to VSAT HTS, it has enhanced the effectiveness of digital services in rural health clinics where now data reporting and access to existing systems can be done more efficiently,” he said while leading the Digital Ministry’s Outreach Programme at Tunoh Scheme Health Clinic and Nanga Gaat Health Clinic last Saturday (Feb 17).
