BAU: All eight elected representatives from the Bidayuh community who won in the 12th Sarawak Election are called to fulfil the hopes of their constituents.

In a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report on Wednesday (July 13), Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn said the rakyat’s choice, and support, must be translated into planning and bringing development to their constituencies.

According to the Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development, the rakyat also needed to work with their elected representatives in line with Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s plan to make the eight Bidayuh areas as ‘The Greater Kuching’.

“We (the Bidayuh community) only have eight elected representatives, and now is the time for us to translate the rakyat’s support during the last election into development.”

Sagah was speaking at the closing ceremony of the Prima Bidayuh 2022 Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn Football Cup Carnival at Bau Indoor Stadium on Monday (July 11).
