WASHINGTON: President Joe Biden said Tuesday he will address the nations on Wednesday after he withdrew from the US presidential election.
“Tomorrow evening at 8 PM ET, I will address the nation from the Oval Office on what lies ahead, and how I will finish the job for the American people,” Anadolu Agency reported Biden wrote on X.
Biden announced his decision Sunday not to seek reelection on Nov 5 and offered his “full support and endorsement” for Vice President Kamala Harris to be the nominee of the Democratic Party.
More than 2,200 delegates from over 30 states have endorsed Harris, according to reports.
Biden’s decision to endorse Harris is not binding, as delegates are free to vote for a candidate of their choice.
