SAMARAHAN: A youth was killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided head-on with a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle at Ladang Hock Seng Lee here, last Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Bolhassan Ismail, 27, from Kampung Lubuk Punggur, Simujan. He was heading towards Samarahan from Simunjan when the accident occurred around 10.40pm.
Mohammad Bolhassan who sustained serious head injuries died at the scene. His remains were later sent to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post mortem.
The driver of the four-wheel-drive vehicle who hails from Jalan Teku Barat, Sibu, had been detained by police to assist in the investigation.
The case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
