MIRI: An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed after his bike skidded off the road and hit the road divider early yesterday morning.
The crash occurred along Jalan Bulan Sabit here.
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said, in the 5am incident, the victim, identified as Felzer Neville Jawan, succumbed to injuries to his head and body.
Prior to the crash, the victim was heading towards the Saberkas roundabout from Miri. He lost control of his bike near a sharp corner of the road and died on the spot.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
