MIRI: A man died instantly when he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with an electric pole.
Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident took place at around 6 am this morning at Jalan Miri-Bintulu near SK Kita Niah.
Initial investigation found that Syvister Dengun, 22, was riding from Jalan Sepupok to his home nearby when he lost control of his bike.
After hitting the electric pole, he was thrown off his motorcycle and fell into a ditch.
The police are investigating the accident under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
