LIMBANG: A 25-year-old motorcycle rider was killed in a three-vehicle collision at KM11 Jalan Medamit here yesterday.
Khairul Azhar Arif died on the spot in the 9.05am crash, said Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu.
The incident involved a lorry, a four-wheel-drive (4WD) and the motorcycle that Khairul was riding.
The drivers of the 4WD and the lorry were unharmed.
According to Supt Alexson, just before the crash, the Khairul was overtaking the 4WD when suddenly he lost control of his motorcycle and veered onto the opposite lane.
The rider was thrown off his motorcycle and landed underneath the moving lorry.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
