MIRI: A superbike rider was seriously injured after the motorcycle he was riding landed inside a drain at Jalan Persisir Pantai Miri-Bintulu here around 4pm last Monday.
The 40-year-old rider sustained head and body injuries.
Prior to the incident, the biker was riding his superbike from the town centre to Bekenu.
Upon arrival at Jalan Persisir Pantai Miri-Bintulu the rider is believed to have lost control of his motorcycle before it skidded and landed inside the drain.
The impact of the landing caused the rider to be flung a few metres from his motorcycle.
The injured biker was later taken to Miri Hospital in an ambulance.
