BINTULU: Bintulu Hospital refuted fake message circulating on WhatsApp and Facebook regarding the walk-in vaccination for 16- and 17-year-olds at the hospital on Monday (Sept 13).

“Bintulu Hospital did not make any announcement as stated.

“We would like to clarify that the vaccination centre at Bintulu Hospital is to inoculate 13- to 17-year-old hospital patients, those with comorbidities and are under the care of Bintulu Hospital Specialist Clinic only,” said Bintulu Hospital director Dr Suzalinna Sulaiman.

She added that the vaccination programme at Bintulu Hospital will not accept healthy teenagers and no walk-ins are allowed at this time.

“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. We hope that the public are reminded not to spread any inauthentic news as it can cause a lot of confusion among the people,” she added.
