BINTULU: Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing contributed aid to 224 health frontliners here.

The handover of the donations was done by Tiong’s special officer Steven Kong Kai Seng at the Bintulu Resident’s Office on Wednesday (Feb 24). Bintulu Health officer Dr Melvin Chung was on hand to accept.

Witnessing the simple ceremony was Bintulu Division Disaster Management Committee chairman and Bintulu Resident Jack Aman Luat.

Meanwhile, Dr Chung said the contributions were a morale booster to frontline staff in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

He thanked Tiong for his concern and support in helping to coordinate all activities during the pandemic here.

Earlier, Tiong, who is the Prime Minister’s Special Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, also gave incentives to 28 Bintulu Hospital staff working at the Covid-19 Control and Treatment Centre at the Bintulu and Similajau auditoriums.
