BINTULU: GSK CNC Equipment Co Ltd (GSK) in Guangzhou, China, will soon offer Industrial 4.0 TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) programmes to lecturers and students of Bintulu Vocational College.
Head of Mechanical Technology and Manufacturing Division of Bintulu Vocational College, Pui Jak Joon, stated that the training to be offered includes programming and industrial robotics.
He said the agreement was reached during a recent study visit to GSK Guangzhou, China, by a delegation from Bintulu Vocational College.
“This marks a significant achievement for the Bintulu Vocational College delegation led by deputy director Khalwani Che Abdul Hamid during the international introduction programme,” said Pui, who is the programme coordinator.
The programme involves lecturers from the Industrial Machining Programme, Welding Technology Program, and Automotive Technology Programme.
At the end of the study visit, the eight delegates from the college received CNC and industrial robotics course certificates from GSK, presented by GSK deputy general manager of International Department, Jackie Chiu.
According to Pui, GSK Training Centre is a renowned skills accreditation centre recognised by the Chinese government for producing skilled and semi-skilled workers in various fields of mechanical technology and industrial robotics.
“The courses offered are based on current industry needs in China.
