SIMUNJAN: An old and uninhabited quarters of the Simunjan district education office was destroyed in a blaze last night (Aug 2).
The 7.40 pm incident happened near SK Abang Man, Kampung Kelka.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Simunjan station were promptly despatched to the scene
On arrival, they found that the four-door block was beyond saving.
The firefighters manged to put out the flames after a short while. No injuries or casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
