MIRI: The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri district Blood Donor Recruitment Committee (BDRC) is organising a ‘New Year 2020’ blood donation campaign.
It is collaborating with the Moving Communities Team and Persatuan Wanita Petroleum Miri to organise the project.
The event will be held this Sunday (Jan 12) at level one of the Permaisuri Imperial City Mall. Registration will take place between 9am and 12pm.
Former deputy chief minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam will officiate at the event.
Miri Hospital requires an estimated 8,000 pints of blood every year. The mobile blood donation plays an important role as it collects about 70 percent of the blood required.
Members of the public are invited to come forward and donate blood this Sunday.
