KUCHING: The Blood Bank of Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) is appealing to all to come forward and donate blood to ensure continuous and sufficient blood supply for patients.

SGH head of Transfusion and Blood Bank Service Department, Mohamad Borhan Ahmad Ulis said those who wish to donate blood, who have just completed their quarantine period, coming from outside Sarawak, are advised to wait until the 28th day before donating blood.

“The Blood Bank Mobile Unit will be available at Santubong Room, Department of Chemistry at Jalan Sultan Tengah here from 9am to 2pm on Nov 4 (tomorrow).

“The blood drive will also be held at the multipurpose hall of the Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) at Jalan Stadium from 9am to 2pm on Nov 5,” he said in a statement today.

On Saturday (Nov 7), the unit will be at the ground floor of Summer Mall, Kota Samarahan and Eastern Mall, Siburan from 10am to 3pm.

For the last day of the blood drive, which is on Sunday (Nov 8), it will take place at Eastern Mall again from 10am to 3pm.
