KUCHING: The Sarawak Government Dental Employees Union (SGDEU) and Sarawak General Hospital Blood Bank are holding a weekend blood donation programme at Emart Tabuan.
The programme kicked off yesterday (Oct 2) and will end later today. Cuepacs Sarawak hopes that the programme can help communities in treatments of various diseases that require blood.
“Cuepacs Sarawak fully supports this community programme as it involves the public and civil servants in helping the hospital to get blood storage for medical purposes.
“The good efforts made by SGDEU can be an example to other civil servants’ unions. Aside from looking after the welfare of members, they also contribute to society as a social responsibility,” said Cuepacs Sarawak chairman Omar Bahrain Unin.
He added that Cuepacs Sarawak has always encouraged and will support the activities of the union for the benefit of the members as well as for the community.
