MIRI: The Blood Bank of Miri Hospital will hold an event to mark the World Blood Donor Day on this coming June 15.
According to Miri Blood Bank Public Relations officer Kenneth Numan in a statement yesterday, the event is celebrated world-wide to give recognition to the service of blood donors all over the world.
“There will be exhibition regarding blood donation and amazing prizes are up for grabs.
“Join us at Nurses Home of Miri Hospital from 8.30am till 4.00 pm,” he said.
In conjunction with the event, the communities are encouraged to come forward and donate blood throughout the week (June 13 to 17) to add to the blood supply at the Blood Bank of Miri Hospital.
“The blood transfusion demand at hospital is always on the rise and it will never stop.
