BINTULU: The body of a dead man trapped under a barge at Sungai Batang Kemena, Jalan Nyiguk was retrieved by the authorities last Friday.
The Fire and Rescue Department operations centre said it received a call about the find just before 3pm.
Thereafter, firefighters from Bintulu fire station were deployed to the scene, retrieved the body and handed it over to the police for further action.
The identity of the body was not immediately known and the operation ended just after 4pm.
