SONG: The body of a man, who drowned after his boat capsized in a river near Rumah Peragok, Nanga Tengadak last Wednesday (Dec 9), was found today.
The State Fire Department operations centre said the body of Wilson Rimba, 25, was found around 12.15pm within a 500-metre radius from where his capsized boat was found.
After it was brought ashore, the body was handed over to the police for further actions.
The victim was believed to have fallen into the river after his boat capsized around 10.40pm last Wednesday. Villagers found the boat floating upside down and its rudder broken.
The search operation involving firefighters, the police and villagers was called off after the victim’s body was found.
