SONG: The body of 41-year-old Seli Gong, who was believed to have drowned in Sungai Tekalit, Song on Friday was recovered by a search and rescue (SAR) team yesterday.
The body was found on the second day of the operation.
According to state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, a call on the incident was received at 10.30am on Friday.
Song Bomba together with several villagers launched a search using a longboat along the Sungai Tekalit as early as 8.30am.
The body of the victim was found within 1km of the Bomba control post.
The remains were handed over to the police for further action.
