KUCHING: The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) showed its appreciation to the 6th Batallion Border Regiment for helping to extinguish the fire that engulfed Kampung Pa’ Umor Bario on April 14.
In its press statement recently, Bomba stated that its assistant director of operations, Henderi Ardimansyah led an entourage to the Bario Post on April 25.
At the same time, he presented a certificate of appreciation to
Lieutenant Mohd Fathi Akmal Mohd Zaid from the 6th Border Regiment, who acted as the chief of the Bario Post during the time of the incident.
The certificate of appreciation was signed by State Bomba director, Datuk Khirudin Drahman.
Also present at the event were Bomba Zone 6 superintendent, Ismaidi Ismail, Marudi fire station chief Maureen Sim Ah Lian and other senior Bomba personnel.
During the visit, Henderi and the entourage were led on a tour of the area by the regiment.
