SARATOK: The Kampung Tanjung Bomba community recently presented relief assistance to two families affected by fire in Kampung Melango Baru here.
Its chief Bolhussein Pawi said the community was emphatic to the problems faced by the fire victims and decided to pool their donations to purchase essential items for the affected families.
“We sympathise with the fate of Majuri Awi and Rosyatimah Bunsu’s families and hope that they will continue to endure the trials of Allah SWT. This contribution will hopefully help them and their families.
“Through this donation, we hope that it will ease some of their burdens while waiting for other assistance to be provided,” he said, adding that they provided assistance in the form of daily necessities, food and cash to the victims.
The Kampung Tanjung Bomba community was established in December 2018 and now has 15 members comprising youths from the Saratok district.
The team was set up to help firefighters provide early assistance in the event of a natural disaster, especially involving fires.
