MIRI: A distressed call was received by the Fire and Rescue Services Department (Bomba) Miri on Monday at 22:03:33 hours from Imperial Hotel, Jalan Pos Miri.
Upon arrival at the scene, the Operation Commander reported that the Bomba team found out that a male kitchen hotel worker had his fingers stuck in the meat grinder. The team members tried their best to contain the situation by opening and detaching the machine parts tough it was difficult to remove the fingers from the machine. Based on the advice of the hospital, the victim was referred to the accident and emergency unit of the hospital immediately for further action.
A total of eight Bomba personnel in two vehicles partook in the operation that ended at 22:29:00 hours, according to the report.
