SARIKEI: Bomba rescued a man trapped in a lorry cabin after two delivery lorries collided with each other on the road.

A call was received by Bintangor Bomba station at 12.53 pm yesterday regarding a road collision between two lorries at Jalan Bintangor-Sarikei.

A team was mobilised to the scene and found that a man was trapped inside the driver cabin of one of the delivery vehicles.

Bomba spokesperson said that, according to the operations commander, a 30-year-old man was trapped inside the cabin and sustained injuries to his legs.

“The team proceeded to conduct rescue operations to extract the victim out of the driver cabin using a special rescue tool.

“Once the team was able to extract the man, he was put on a stretcher and then transported by ambulance to nearby hospital for further treatment,” said the spokesman via a press statement.

Bomba personnel cleared the debris on the road and headed back to the station for other tasks.
