KUCHING: Borneo Smart Vendors Sdn Bhd is set to bring its Vending Machine Finance and Entrepreneurship workshop to Kuching this year, says executive chairman Anderson Dato.
The workshop, scheduled to take place after the Raya Aidilfitri celebration, aims to replicate the overwhelming response received during last year’s event in Penang.
“Last year’s workshop in Penang surpassed expectations, with initial registration for 200 participants quickly escalating to 300,” Anderson revealed during a media appreciation lunch here on Monday (Jan 29).
“We’re excited to kick off this year’s workshop in Kuching, followed by Sibu, Bintulu, and expanding to key locations in West Malaysia such as Johor, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur.”
In addition to expanding workshop locations, Borneo Smart Vendors plans to establish offices in Bintulu, Labuan and Penang, alongside its main office in Miri, catering to its diverse investor base.
“Our vending machines have seen significant uptake nationwide, with 100 units sold across Malaysia,” Anderson stated. “Our target locations are primarily public areas, attracting part-time and full-time investors seeking additional income streams.”
Acknowledging the success stories of investors utilising their vending machines, he highlighted the platform’s role in empowering individuals to generate supplementary income.
“Some investors have achieved remarkable financial stability, utilising vending machine profits to cover bills and debts,” he remarked. “They even come to me and express gratitude for providing them with such a platform to generate income.”
The lunch was also attended by general manager Damian Gerard Ajang and distinguished guests.
