KUCHING: When a marketing executive from Jalan Arang here returned home to a house at Jalan Airport where she rented a room around 3.30pm on Monday, she was shocked to find that the door to her room had been forced open.

After checking, the woman found out that a water heater, a micro wave oven and two stand fans with a total value of more than RM1,200 were missing from the room.

The woman said apart from her, a housemate also has a key to the house.

In an unrelated case, a 45-year-old housewife at Kampung Gita in Petrajaya near here said when she went to an office near her house on Monday afternoon to check on things she was shocked to discover that the office has been broken into and items stolen were electrical appliances, baking equipment, a juice extractor, a gas cylinder and two ovens.

Both women have lodged police report on the matter.
