A 21-year-old bride from Bogor, Indonesia went missing the day after her wedding on June 25.
The groom’s family took to social media to announce the woman’s disappearance and filed a police report eight days later.
Initially, the woman claimed she was going out to pick up a delivery of ayam geprek (a popular Indonesian dish) using a cash-on-delivery service.
According to reports from detikcom, the police finally located the woman in Bandung on July 7, where she was found in the company of her ex-boyfriend.
Before being brought back to Bogor by her mother, the woman briefly stayed at her ex-boyfriend’s parents’ house in Medan, North Sumatra.
In the end, the 27-year-old husband decided to divorce his wife, allowing her to marry her former boyfriend.
The issue was resolved peacefully between both families.
