SIBU: Giving something back to the society has always been a core value practiced by STM Lottery Sdn Bhd.

As a socially responsible company, STM Lottery believes that contributing to society is an integral part of an organisation’s business and operations.

In conjunction with the upcoming Harvest and Gawai festival celebrations, STM lottery in a press release yesterday (May 17) stated that it has taken the opportunity to share festive cheer with some underprivileged children in East Malaysia.

A team of staff volunteers and Sports Toto agents visited the Association for Children with Special Needs Sibu at Agape Centre here and treated some 91 beneficiaries of the home with a delicious and sumptuous meal.

STM lottery had also donated a sum of RM5,000 cash to the home.

STM lottery has earlier spread festive cheer to the beneficiaries from the Miri Methodist Children’s Home in Miri on May 11, Persatuan Kebajikan Makatip Sabah in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on May 11, Taska Mesra Cheshire Sandakan in Sandakan, Sabah on May 15 as well as Sabah Society For The Deaf (Lahad Datu Branch) in Tawau, Sabah on May 16.

All in all, STM Lottery has contributed a total of RM25,000 to these five charitable organisations in East Malaysia.

“All these years, STM Lottery has made it a point to bring cheer to the less fortunate during the festive occasions as the company believes that everyone regardless of social status or background, deserves a heartwarming moment during festivities,” the press release added.
