KUCHING: The people of Kampung Jemukan in Asajaya can now enjoy 4G services, thanks to the efforts of the state government, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) and telecommunications operator Celcom.
Celcom said the people in the village can breathe a sigh of relief as they don’t need to travel more than 3km just to get internet connection.
“Thanks to our network team who braved the tough terrains, the people of Kampung Jemukan now have access to 4G services, right at their own homes,” said Celcom in their official Facebook page.
They said with the availability of 4G services, digital lifestyles and opportunities are easily accessible for the strong-willed and digitally inspired communities there.
“Like many Malaysians today, the folk of Kampung Jemukan can now aspire to be part of the nation’s digital economy,” it said.
Celcom also took the opportunity to thank the state government, Batang Sadong Parliament Office, MCMC and SMA in ensuring all Malaysians can be digitally inclined for a better future.
