Brooke Drive KRT carries out bubur lambuk cooking session

SIBU: In line with the Ministry of National Unity’s third Program Gerak Rahmah carried out simultaneously nationwide, the Brooke Drive Neighbourhood Committee (KRT Persiaran Brooke) implemented the Program Gerak Rahmah Jom Masak Bubur Lambuk at Tempat Transit Gelandangan (TTG) here recently.
According to KRT Persiaran Brooke chairperson Melinda Wong Kwong Hung, KRT Persiaran Brooke members, staff and occupants of TTG participated in the event.
“Three hundred packets of bubur lambuk were distributed to TTG staff and occupants, KRT residents and the public.
“Program Gerak Rahmah started on Feb 25 with the first, Program Jom Sihat, followed by Program Jom Ronda Skim Rondaan Sukarela, on March 17.
“All the programmes were implemented at the same time throughout the whole country,” she explained.
“This programme is an initiative under the Sarawak National Unity and Integration Department in line with the national programme for a more integrated and comprehensive national unity spirit.
“It is also in line with supporting our government’s aspiration to create Komuniti Rahmah such as Bantuan Rahmah, Menu Rahmah etc.”
