KAPIT: Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat visited Rumah Agan Minggat at Datai Panglima, Jalan Bukit Goram here to inspect the ongoing electrical wiring project to the new 24-door longhouse.

Earlier, Jamit allocated RM24,000 or RM1,000 to each family of the longhouse for the purpose.

“I am happy the Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) has engaged a licensed contractor to carry out the work.

“To me, this is important to ensure proper wiring is done because it concerns the safety and security of the longhouse.

“This is a brand new longhouse. Make sure electricity is not overloaded and there are no illegal extensions to prevent any untoward mishap,” Jamit said.

Meanwhile, Tuai Rumah Agan thanked Jamit for the funding.

“Your track record is proven. You are a good leader who listens and helps us. We shall vote for you so that you will continue to serve us,” he said.
