KUCHING: The water main at Lorong Liu Shan Bang 6A, 7th Mile here that ruptured has been immediately repaired, says Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Public Complaints Bureau chief Wilfred Yap.
He said the problem was relayed to the Kuching Water Board after receiving regular complaints from the public.
He added in a statement on Monday (Dec 7) that the bureau would continue to carry out its responsibility to help the public.
“We will continue to communicate with relevant authorities to carry out improvement and repair works to damaged infrastructure like pipes, street lighting, drains and roads.”
Yap, who is also Kota Sentosa SUPP chairman, said complaints could be made through various channels, including mobile apps.
“Talikhidmat was set up by the Sarawak government as a one-stop communication channel for the public to effectively reach government departments or agencies and local authorities.
“The public can also submit complaints online through Talikhidmat mobile app or its call centre at 555999 (fixed line throughout Sarawak) and 082-555999 (for mobile phone users) or email talikhidmat at 555999@sarawak.gov.my.”
