MUKAH: A bush fire which occurred along the Old Oya Road here last Tuesday afternoon attracted the attention of many road users.
The 4pm fire was believed to be due to the present dry spell hitting this division in the last two weeks or so.
Firefighters in a fire engine were deployed to the scene after Mukah BOMBA received a distress call from a member of public regarding the bush fire.
The fire was completely put out two hours later.
The occurrence of bush fires along the coastal road is common especially during dry spell like now.
