KUCHING: Good news for businesses and entrepreneurs will be announced soon, said Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
He said that he would announce something that would help the businesses and entrepreneurs.
“But, I cannot announce it today. We must have strategic entities for us to move
forward.
“Previously, I applied for digital banking license (but not approved), maybe this is a blessing in disguise, we have our own Development Bank of Sarawak (DBOS). And we see what will happen in these one to two months for Sarawak,” he said.
He said this in his speech during the Majlis Amanat Perdana 2024 for Sarawak Civil Service at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here yesterday.
Meanwhile, when met by reporters, Abang Johari said there was something coming up or good news probably in this January.
“We have announced in June that we will take over Bintulu Port and we would like to thank Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the federal government.
“So, there is something more. I have give the hint that there are three things we going to take over in 2024, thus, just wait for end of this month,” he said, adding that with the three things, the state would have the whole system.
