SIBU: Persatuan Peniaga Islam Taman Selera Harmoni Sibu chairman Abdul Taib Rosli says business at Taman Selera Harmoni is picking up as more traders resume operations.
“Besides that, the number of visitors has also grown, and this is indeed a positive sign for the traders,” he said on Thursday (Oct 21).
Taib stressed that the traders also made sure that visitors follow strictly Covid-19 prevention standard operating procedure (SOP) guidelines.
“We operate as early as 6am until midnight as per guidelines.
“We also make sure that visitors scan the MySejahtera QR code or record their details, and get their temperature checked.”
Taib added that only fully vaccinated visitors were allowed to dine-in.
“Children aged 12 are allowed but they must be accompanied by fully vaccinated parents or guardians – at your own risk of course.”
Taib said the pandemic had been tough on the traders as only takeaway food was allowed, “…however the Sarawakku Sayang Special Assistance (BKSS) has offered traders hope.”
Meanwhile, a roadside hawker, who only wished to be known as Kak Roha, said it was a huge relief now that business activities are allowed.
“Life is slowly back to normal and business is as usual with the decreasing number of Covid-19 cases reported.
“I pray that the situation will continue to improve so that we hawkers can earn a living.”
