KUCHING: Thirty families were provided with essential food supplies, bringing much-needed comfort and support during the festive season.
Among the beneficiaries, 20 families hail from Kampung Tabuan Dayak, with the remainder being recent fire victims from Kampung Bintawa Hilir.
This initiative represents a collaborative effort by Maxim E-Hailing Kuching, BELL 1 Lubricant Malaysia, and Carlife Automobile Accessories.
“This contribution, though modest, will significantly impact the lives of the recipients,” said Kampung Tabuan Dayak village chief Maria Assim at the distribution event in Kampung Tabuan Dayak here on Friday.
Maria oversees three villages — Tabuan Lalang, Tabuan Asap, and Tabuan Dayak Baru — home to approximately 1,400 individuals, predominantly from the lower-income B40 demographic.
“Donations like these are invaluable to our community, helping to lighten the load of those already bearing much,” she added.
Meanwhile, Maxim Kuching’s Head of Division Ericson Bryan Fernandez said for this year, Maxim aims to expand its charitable outreach nationwide, including a planned Ramadan event for distributing ‘bubur lambuk’ alongside private and non-profit partners.
“Our goal is to make these events a monthly occurrence, fostering a culture of giving and community involvement,” said Ericson.
Also present were Maxim Kuching’s business specialist Leroy Salvareo, Carlife Automobile Accessories director Boss Michael Ngui, and BELL 1 Lubricant Kuching business development manager Pang Kang Yaw.
Following the event at Kampung Tabuan Dayak, the group continued their mission of goodwill at Masjid Darul Islam, Kampung Bintawa Hilir, aiding 10 families affected by a devastating fire on Jan 5 that damaged nine houses.
