KUCHING: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg received courtesy calls from the delegations of Sumitomo Corporation-SEDC Energy and Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific at the Sarawak Premier Office, Wisma Bapa Malaysia here yesterday (March 2).
Abang Johari was updated by Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) chairman Datuk Amar Aziz Hussain on Sumitomo Corporation-SEDC Energy’s joint-venture development of a hydrogen plant in Petrolchemical Park, Bintulu, which was inked on Oct 23, 2021 by SEDC Energy, Sumitomo Corporation, and Japanese oil company ENEOS.
Meanwhile, the Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific delegation briefed Abang Johari on the proposal to organise the Global Muslim Business Forum in September in Kuching.
The forum aims to promote strategic partnership, dialogue and collaboration among Islamic countries.
