KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received three courtesy calls at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today (July 17).
The first one was from Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) director-general Datuk Abdul Latif Abu Seman. His delegation included board member Datuk Abang Abdul Karim Tun Openg; corporate secretary Datin Roseleena Hashim; Sarawak branch manager Sarimah Misman; and manager Hafiza Atha Ahmad.
In the 20-minute meeting, they discussed collaboration in certain fields such as Internet of Things (IOT) which can be explored together by MPC and the state government.
The second courtesy call was from Sarawak Public Service Commission (Spans) chairman Datuk Abdul Ghafur Shariff and his delegation comprising secretary Fathi Hanbali as well as commission members Datuk Jabidah Monseri and Datuk Rabiah Johari.
Meanwhile, the last courtesy call was from Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) director-general Datuk Mohammad Hamdan Abdul Wahid.
His visit was aimed at discussing on the development of fire stations in terms of operational functions, services, times and fire safety measures especially in rural areas such as longhouses.
Also present during the third visit were Bomba planning and development director Othman Abdullah; Bomba fire safety director Edwin Galan Teruki; corporate director Rohani Nadir; and state director Khirudin Drahman.
