KUCHING: The minor state Cabinet reshuffle announced by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg last Thursday gets Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman’s approval.
The PBB Youth deputy chief expressed his support for the new line-up and viewed that continuity is crucial in the appointments.
“Ever since the chief minister helmed his post, he has outlined an action plan to develop the state,” Fazzrudin said to New Sarawak Tribune yesterday. “Of course, such actions and detailed planning to achieve the objective takes time,” he said.
Fazzrudin also highlighted the importance of involving other members in the decision-making process. “For example, I myself have been involved directly in sports organisations in the state. Ideas and suggestions on its development can be channelled through these organisations.”
Fazzrudin also hailed the appointment of Youth and Sports Assistant Minister Datuk Snowdan Lawan who retained his existing portfolio albeit now in a ministry of its own.
“He (Snowdan) being the PRS Youth chief shows the level of trust given by the chief minister for youths to lead a ministry,” he expressed.
