KUCHING: A report was lodged in response to a few incidents of cable theft in Batu Lintang especially in Tabuan Jaya and Tabuan Desa.
Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Batu Lintang Youth Chief Liew Leong Yee said that the disruption made the affected resident unable to access the internet and make phone calls.
“Besides, the repair work also takes time as it causes a lot of inconvenience to the resident.
“Telco companies are also facing huge losses because of these cases,” he said in a statement today.
He also urged the public to quickly file a report or call the police if any suspicious persons are found in the vicinity.
“I hope the police can take immediate action to prevent more cases from happening,” he added.
