KUCHING: Voting period and number of voting channels should be extended in order to face the 12th state election which is expected due next year, said Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) vice-president Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.
According to him, in each state election, the election machinery of the PBB Pantai Damai branch always strives to improve its services during the voting process.
“We do not want any problem to occur. Therefore, we also strongly encourage voters to come down early to fulfill their responsibilities,” said Dr Abdul Rahman, who is also Pantai Damai assemblyman, during a meeting with polling stations leaders for Pantai Damai here, today (Monday).
Further elaborating, he said Pantai Damai state constituency which has about 20,010 voters, so far has 16,628 PBB members, 17 polling stations as well as 12 polling districts centres (PDC).
