MIRI: The Malaysian Red Crescent Miri District, Blood Donor Recruitment Committee (BDRC) in collaboration with the Moving Communities Team and Persatuan Petroleum Wanita Miri will be organising a United Nations Day blood donation drive.
The event will be held tomorrow (Oct 20) at Level 3, Boulevard Shopping Complex from 9am until 12pm.
This is the second time that the campaign is being held in conjunction with United Nations Day which is celebrated on Oct 24 since 1948.
Miri Red Crescent publicity officer Karambir Singh has urged Mirians to show their support for the campaign as it targets to collect 60 pints of blood.
Approximately 8,000 pints of blood are required every year by Miri Hospital.
