‘Call us to deal with dangerous animals, snakes’ – APM

SRI AMAN: The Civil Defence Force(APM) in Sri Aman  district managed to catch a python that entered a home in Kampung Klauh, here.

The Force’s captain, Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim said they caught the snake after recieving a phone call about the intrusion at 10.36 pm.

“As soon as we received the call ,we despatched Lance Corporal (PA) Jacky Enus and PBT (PA) Ibrahim Kipli to the village.

“The APM duo arrived in the settlement at 11.15 pm and managed to catch the 3-foot long snake within 5 minutes,” she said.

Siti reminded the public to be careful when dangerous animals intruded into their homes because they might hurt them if not handled properly.

The public should immediately inform Sri Aman district’s APM at 083-320973 when faced with such emergency situation.

“The first ‘snake intrusion’ case this week happened in Taman Lucky (Lucky Garden) here, when a 4-foot cobra entered the bathroom of a home last Tuesday.

“Do not delay when you noticed an animal entering your home. Instead you must immediately inform us, because we have the skill and the facilities  needed to catch it,” said Siti.
