OUTSTANDING YOUNG MALAYSIAN 2020 AWARDS

SIBU: Nominations are now open for the Ten Outstanding Young Malaysian (TOYM) 2020 Awards, an event by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malaysia to recognise outstanding achievements in profession or significant contributions to society.

“The award recipients will inspire future generations to forge ahead to achieve greater success or help others in need,” said organising chairperson Esther Khor at a press conference held here yesterday.

Khor said this year’s award ceremony would be held on October 19.

She explained that the nomination categories were business, economic or entrepreneurial accomplishment; political, legal or governmental affairs; academic leadership; cultural achievement; moral or environmental leadership; contribution to children, world peace or human rights; humanitarian or voluntary leadership; scientific or technological development; personal improvement; and medical innovation.

Nominations for TOYM 2019 are open to those aged between 18 and 40 and will close on June 30.

TOYM 2020 honourees will go on to represent Malaysia in the JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World (TOYP) where honourees from 100 countries will gather.
