KUCHING: The Sarawak National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) continues to encourage women to undergo early detection tests for reproductive cancer, namel, cervical cancer and breast cancer through the Women’s Reproductive Cancer Awareness Campaign or WCaRe.
According to Sarawak State LPPKN Director, Shahriah Saharom, the campaign is an initiative of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) through LPPKN.
It is targeted at 85,000 women nationwide this year.
“In conjunction with Mother’s Day themed ‘Kasih Ibu Selamanya’, we are targeting a total of 10,500 Sarawak women to seize the opportunity to get screening vouchers for these two cancers at all the nearest Nur Sejahtera Clinics,” she added.
Shahriah stated this at the State LPPKN Level Mother’s Day celebration and the Kasih Keluarga Tour Programme graced by Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, wife of the Premier of Sarawak.
