KUCHING: A man who parked his car at Friendship Park here was dismayed when he returned to find it prised open and his valuables gone.

The victim said he parked the car there at 7.30am and lost two mobile phones, two wallets, a badminton bag and a handbag in the incident.

A police report has been lodged.

In a separate case, a 39-year-old woman from Mile 9, Kuching/Penrissen Road was caught by a security guard for shoplifting from Parkson at The Spring shopping mall on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm.

The woman walked out of the shop without paying after taking clothes valued at RM334.90.

She was then handed over to the police and detained for questioning.
