“The launch of today’s career carnival programme is in conjunction with the ‘Jelajah Kerjaya Kenyalang 3.0’ programme which runs from Aug 14 to 20.
“This programme involved the organisation of career carnival programmes in the Samarahan, Betong, Sibu and Miri divisions,” he said.
After the carnival ended, an overall total of 93 employers have registered for the career carnival programme and with a total of about 6,000 vacancies offered.
The concept of the programme also involved the activities of convoy groups with the government departments and agencies under the Ministry of Human Resources and under the state government and saw the participation of employers in the private sector.
In addition, the main objective of the programme was to help jobseekers find employment according to their current qualifications by attending open interviews held throughout the programme.
In addition, it also serves as a platform for employers in the private sector to find potential employees to fill the job vacancies.
