KUCHING: Ten employers will be offering 2,688 vacancies to job seekers during the Bintulu Division Mini Career Carnival.
The carnival will take place at Bintulu Civic Centre.tomorrow (Saturday) from 8am to 5pm
Sarawak Labour Department director. Awang Raduan Awang Omar said, “The carnival will feature two types of interviews. namely, face-to-face interview and virtual interview using the Zoom application.
“At the carnival, there will also be online job seeker registration in the MyFuture Jobs portal, Bank Negara Malaysia and Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK) advisory counters and exhibition counters by financial service providers “
Awang Raduan added that the carnival would be participated by Bank Negara Malaysia Kuching Office, AKPK as well as financial service providers such as banks and other financial agencies.
“The participation of 21 strategic partners from the financial sector is in conjunction with the post-moratorium loan repayment campaign.
“A proactive approach is taken to reach out to the community, especially those affected by Covid-19, to seek early assistance from banks and AKPK before the moratorium ends on Sept 30,” he said.
Awang Raduan explained that the carnival was open to the public, especially in Bintulu, and admission was free. Job seekers from various academic backgrounds as well as those who are already working but want to improve their careers are also welcome to attend the carnival.
“Job seekers can choose to be interviewed publicly or virtually. Information on the vacancies can be found on the Facebook pages of the Bintulu Labour Office and the Sarawak Labour Department or the official websites via www.jtkswk.gov.my.
“Job seekers are to dress neatly and bring updated resumes as well as copies of relevant documents while attending the interviews.” he advised.
