KOTA SAMARAHAN: Fifty recipients were given food items worth RM150 plus financial aid of RM50 each under the Jelajah Asnaf 2022 programme.

Held at Aiman Mall Supermarket here today, the programme was organised by Aiman ​​Group, Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS) and the Department of Social Welfare (JKM) Sarawak.

According to one of Aiman ​​Group’s managing directors Samat Othman, this tour is being held for the first time and will continue in other areas.

“For the next destination, it will be held in Gedong and some other areas in Sarawak.


“We have sent some representatives from outside and have listed the needy people with the cooperation of the village chiefs,” he said.

Earlier, the 150 recipients were from nine villages which have been selected for the programme.

Among the villages are Kampung Pinang, Kampung Muara Tuang, Kampung Meranek, Kampung Tanjung Bundong, Kampung Baru, Kampung Empila, Kampung Niup, Kampung Mang and Kampung Melayu.

Also present were deputy head of operations and chief administrative officer Nurhidayah Hussain, representative of DUN Deputy Speaker Datuk Idris Buang, Aiman ​​Group managing director Zetty Fazilla Mohammad Zailani, social eelfare officer Haslinda Supu and head of Sarawak Baitulmal Fund Division Office, Sarawak Branch Norzahan Bahani.
