MUKAH: Some 12 school leavers who have been accepted to further their studies or attend courses in the country received study incentives from Tellian State constituency Service Centre here on Friday (Dec 11).
Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo handed over the cash to the recipients at a simple ceremony at the service centre here.
The former Balingian assemblyman also handed over minor rural projects (MRP) grants to six longhouses village development and security committees (JKKK), and Kampung Kuala Lama Resettlement Scheme JKKK.
Resident and District Office (Rando) Club, and Urus Setia Saudara Kita (Muslim converts secretariat) Bahagian Mukah also received the MRP grants.
The grants were meant to help the recipients in implementing their activities.
Acting Mukah district officer Peleadzman Ahip and penghulu Mawar Awang also attended the event.
